About me

I was first introduced to acupuncture whilst working as a Registered Midwife. During the 10 years I worked in the NHS I came across an increasing number of women using acupuncture as a safe and effective treatment before, during and after pregnancy. Eventually, curiosity got the better of me and I had acupuncture myself, I was intrigued by this gentle but powerful therapy and the rest is history so they say...

I enrolled with the Northern College of Acupuncture and after completing a three year full time course at Masters Degree Level I was awarded a Diploma in Acupuncture and set up Garforth Acupuncture Clinic. During my training and since qualifying in 2008 I have treated both men and women with a variety of conditions with acupuncture and get a great deal of satisfaction from helping people, quite often with conditions which are difficult to manage using conventional medicine. One of the best measures of my success is when I ask clients where they heard about my practice and they tell me a friend or family member recommended me. Clients comment on how having acupuncture is a relaxing and positive experience.
